About ARTS ACHIEVE

ARTS ACHIEVE: Impacting Student Success in the Arts was a large-scale arts assessment research project undertaken in 2010-2015. Its goal was to test the hypothesis that arts assessment data coupled with professional development and technology integration would improve arts teaching and thereby enhance student arts learning over time.

The project was created by two United States Department of Education grants: an Investing in Innovation grant awarded to Studio in a School, and an Arts Education Model Development and Dissemination grant awarded to the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Arts and Special Projects. The project was driven by a consortium that included five of the city’s premier arts organizations.
