Lessons 4-6

Developing the Written Monologue

Students build upon their improvised monologue by identifying a secret for their character. Each character then goes through a 9 Question Interview Process – The Hot Seat that is conducted by other students. Monologues are further developed as students repeat their solo tableaus with Thought Tracking. These Thought Trackings, recorded by peers via iPad, are used in conjunction with the Monologue Task Sheet Criteria (see Resources) to create the written monologue. Students share their monologues, receive peer feedback, and revise.
